Bikinis at the ready as temperature set to soar on Thursday!

Britain looks set to be hotter than Hawaii this Thursday with temperatures expected to reach 19.7 in some parts of the country.

But while London, Cambridge, Lincolnshire and North Wales are tipped most likely to welcome the warmest weather - for two days only - the forecast for our area anticipates temperatures peaking at around 14 degrees, according to Met Office figures today (Tues Feb 21).

The warm spell follows the recent unseasonably cold snap and could mean it's more balmy here in the UK than on the beaches of Hawaii!

Martin Young, chief forecaster at the Met Office said: 'Temperatures are expected to get into double figures in many areas as we see a return to unsettled conditions with strong winds and heavy rain in places.'
