Guide to the best local firework displays

Marlow is well catered for when it comes to firework night - it's not a question of finding a display but more a case of choosing which one to take the family along to! To help you choose, here is around-up of the best fireworks happening in the local area this year...

Join the fun on firework night!
Marlow Bottom Fireworks
When: Saturday 5th November

Visit the official website to buy your tickets online - you can also catch a short film of last year's action, when over 2000 people turned up to support Burford School. Stalls, hot food, barbecue and bar.
Gates open: 5.30 for a 7pm start
Costs: In advance - Family ticket (for 4) - £20, Adults/teenagers: £6, Children 4-12: £5. All tickets bought on the night: £8.
Foxes Piece Firework Display, Newfield Road
When: Friday 4th November
A Marlow favourite. In addition to what is always a grea display, you'll find stalls, refreshment, a beers tent and fair rides for the children.
Gates open: 6pm
Costs: Tickets on the door - £5 for adults and £3 for children.
Longridge

When: Saturday 5th November
Watch the rockets shoot up into the sky over the river at Longridge for what is always an impressive display. Attractions usually include Hog Roast, boat rides, entertainment, face painting and fairground rides.Gates open: 5.30pm. Ends at 9pm
Costs: Tickets available online. £20 for family of 4 (£26 on the night). Adults: £8 (£10 on the night), children: £5 (£6 on the night). Under 5s go free. VIP tickets available for maximum of 20 people to view the fireworks from the balcony of the training centre and park in the main car park.

Rotary Club of Henley Sue Ryder Fireworks, Nettlebed
When: Saturday 29th OctoberThe Sue Ryder Fireworks and Halloween Night at Nettlebed includes a huge bonfire and professional fireworks display with stalls and food. The event attracts the support of almost 4,000 people and last year helped to raise £15,000 for the Sue Ryder Home.
Gates open: 5pm. Band starts at 5.30, bonfire lit at 6.30. fancy dress competition at 6.45, fireworks at 7.15.Cost: Tbc but based on last year - £15 per car or adults: £4, Children age 4-16: £2.
DON'T FORGET....Hambleden and Medmenham both hold their own firework displays too. Hambleden on 6th November, Medmenham tbc.
