A horse was killed on the northbound carriageway of the A4155 in the early hours of this morning.
The incident is thought to have taken place at around 4.10am when the horse collided with a white transit van - whose driver was reportedly uninjured.
Both lanes were closed but one was re-opened at 6.25. Commuters experienced delays as a result.

What a tragic story - must have been dreadful for the driver and of course the poor owner of the horse killed.
