These results mean that all our students will be able to study the courses they wanted to at university.'
Over on West Street, there are also lots of smiling faces as Borlase students emerged from the Sixth Form building, clutching their brown envelopes.
Borlase achived its best ever A Level results this year with over 50 % of all students gaining an A* or A Grade - a total of 44 ganied straight As or better.

Headmaster of Sir William Borlase Grammar School was delighted. 'These results represent the culmination of two years of very hard efffort by our students and their teachers', he said.
'Because of the planned increases in tuition fees next year, this is a particularly stressful year for students nationally, with more seeking to gain places this year ahead of the increases.
'We are particularly delighted that it looks as though virtually every one of our students has gained a place at his or her chosen university, which means that we still have very few needing to go through clearing.'
