World Car Free Day is the event that takes place across the world on September 22nd, intended to encourage people to leave their car at home for the day and travel around using more environmentally friendly means - on a bike perhaps, by scooter or on foot.

Leave your car at home for World Car Free Day - 22nd September.
Back in 2008 Marlow experienced its own care-free day as part of a Channel Four show called 'The Woman Who Stops Traffic' The programme featured professional problem solver, Kris Murrin, who set out on her own quest to reduce car use by 20 per cent.
Residents were asked to avoid using their car for the school run and encouraged to take to the streets on foot or jump on to their bike instead.
So far we can't see any local events planned for World Car Free Day, so if you know of any, do let us know!
