Sir William Borlase, Marlow celebrates best ever GCSE results

Sir William Borlase Grammar School in Marlow is celebrating today, after a record year for the school for GCSE results.
An impressive 100 per cent of students gained five A-C grades and overall 79 per cent walked away with A* - A grades. Forty students gained straight A grades, with seven gaining 11 straight A* grades plus an AS level in Mathematics a year early.
The students achieving 11 A*s included Alice Balhatchet, Helena Gostelow, Alice Handford, Marianne O'Connor, Freya Russell, Jennifer Tempest-Mitchell and Emily Warne.
Headmaster Peter Holding said: ' This is a great set of results for the school, with record achievements all round. I'm very proud of all their hard work and the dedication of all our staff who have been behind them all the way.'
