St Johns Ambulance Marlow get a cash boost

Marlow Round Table have donated £7000 to Buckinghamshire St Johns Ambulance to help them buy a new vehicle for the Marlow volunteers.
St Johns Ambulance volunteers are present at just about every event that happens in Marlow, so it comes as no surprise that our local Round Table have jumped to help this worthy charity organisation.
In 2009 the Marlow St Johns Ambulance caravan was stolen by thieves, along with the thousands of pounds worth of medical equipment that was stored inside it. Only a year later, the replacement caravan was destroyed by fire - thought to be the result of an arson attack.
Now, thanks to this generous donation, Marlow volunteers will get a new multi-purpose vehicle to help them get through what promises to be a very busy year that will see the 2012 Olympic Games and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

I think the St Johns Ambulance folk are amazing. We certainly couldn't do without them at events like the Marlow Regatta. Great that they've got some funding from another great local organsation.
