TRAVEL NEWS: M4 closing tonight for maintenance

Be warned, all motorists travelling on the M4 tonight - it will be closed bewteen junctions five and six.

The eastbound section of the motorway will be closed between 10pm and 5am tomorrow morning, so be aware if you are travelling later tonight.

On Saturday night between 10pm and 7am the opposite westbound carriageway will be closed while traffic management systems are installed.  Diversions via Slough and the A4 will be in operation.

This current work is part of a major maintenance operation being carried out.  The work started back in December 2011 and is ongoing.
