Eeek!  Only three more Mondays to go before Christmas, so is your Christmas shopping mission in full swing or you will be rushing out for a last-minute trolley dash on Christmas Eve...?

Thankfully, living in Marlow, we have the Eden Centre at High Wycombe pretty much on our doorstep and while it's certainly no Westfield, it does have a pretty decent selection of High Street stores, including House of Fraser , Marks and Spencer , Zara and Next.

But if you're searching for an extra special gift for loved ones this Christmas, you could do worse than head down to Marlow's own brilliantly-equipped High Street. For, as well as a fantastic selection of places to buy a fabulous festive outfit, there are plenty of places to find interesting gifts for everyone -  from the new baby in the family to aunties, uncles and even the most tricky-to-buy-for Grandma and Grandad!

Popular partywear destinations in Marlow include the well-known chains, Monsoon, Phase Eight, East and Fen Wright Manson but remember too, the smaller boutiques we are blessed with here - among them Plume Boutique and Gatsby and Daisy, which both stock a tempting selection of one-offs and designer dresses. There are also a couple of brand new fashion emporiums to check out if you haven't dome so already  - Grace which recently opened on West Street and Wonderland on Spittal Street.

More established ladies boutiques include Scarlett Monroe, Barbara Easton , Mary Brooks and Jacu (bought an amazing pair of boots for myself there last Christmas!)

If you are looking to rent rather than but for this year's Christmas outing, Joliffes on Chapel Street has a spectacular collection of super-glamorous gowns and cocktail dresses that have that bit of extra WOW factor.

Husbands, brothers, uncles, dads and grandads are equally well catered for fashionwise at Hewetts, Turner SportsGatsby and Daisy and Repertoire.

There are gifts galore to be found in Marlow's many shops - the hotspots being Huttons (something gorgeous to suit every budget), The White Company (lovely scented candles, homewears and decadent cashmere) and Space NK (heaven for any beauty addict).  If you love to be pampered, Marlow's longest serving beauty salon Sunrise also stocks a decadent collection of Elemis gift boxes at this time of year, that make the perfect pampering gift.

If you're looking for gifts for the children, head straight to Marlow Toys or check out our branch of WHSmith for their comprehensive collection of children's books, games, DVDs and craft items. Jo Jo Maman Bebe also stocks some very cute baby clothes and accessories that are well worth checking out.

The aspiring cook should be thrilled to find their stocking filled with anything foodie-related from Living In Store, Steamer Trading or Cargo.

And finally, with the continuing recession on everyone's mind, don't forget the big selection of second hands shops we have in Marlow. What is one person's unwanted item is more often than not another's dream gift!

AND FINALLY.....

**Don't forget it's late night shopping in Marlow on December 8th when the High Street will be lined with the usual great Christmas stalls and attractions.**

Happy shopping!
