Marlow - the most romantic town in Bucks?!

The Crowne Plaza is just one of many Marlow destinations preparing to put on a romantic Valentine experience for their guests.

On Saturday 11th February they are laying on a four-course feast in the Glaze Restaurant for only £40 per person, including a glass of fizz on arrival.  Meanwhile in the bar, guests are to invited snuggle up to their loved one and sip cocktails while they listen to some of the country's top jazz musicians.

Across town at the Compleat Angler, hopeless romantics can enjoy a four-course meal in the hotel's Bowaters restaurant with a choice of starter, main course and dessert - all from £65 per person, including a glass of Champagne and a rose for the ladies.

The Assembly Room at the top of the high street has come up with a great value set menu for star-crossed lovers - four courses, including coffee and truffles will set you back £45 per person and includes a choice of three starters, mains and desserts, plus a glass of Champagne and live music while you dine.

Danesfield House Hotel are cooking up a special Valentines Menu in the Orangery restaurant between 11th and 14th February which includes four courses, glass of Champagne and a traditional red rose.  You can also experience Michelin Star cuisine in the Adam Simonds restaurant - the Valentine Tasting Menu (see website for more details) and a traditional cream tea.

Marlow has a wealth of other fabulous eateries and bars that offer the perfect location for a quiet romantic drink - pubs like The Ship, The Two Brewers and The Hare and Hounds immediately spring to mind.  And you can never go wrong with a quick trip to Zizzi!

Of course, living in and around Marlow, we also have the option of venturing out a bit further to one of the great pubs outside the centre of town for a romantic evening out - try the award-winning Royal Oak at Bovingdon Green, The Dog & Badger in Medmenham, The Spade Oak at Bourne End or The Frog at Skirmett - all offer good food and a warm welcome.
