A gang of pirates are about to hit town (thankfully they're a band of musicians, not a bunch of ruthless cutthroats!)

Talented local band, Peerless Pirates, will be dropping in to play an acoustic set at Marlow FM later this month.

The four-man group - Cliff Adams, Richard Voyce, Stuart Green and Barry Short - named themselves after a 10-pin bowling team Cliff's father played in during the 1960s. 'I still have his black silk shirt with skull and crossbones on the back' says Cliff.

Riding high on the wave of growing success - they took place in last year's hotly contested Marlow Battle of The Bands and have already performed live for both Recharged Radio in London and Radio Berkshire - the boys hope to record their debut E.P. later this year.

Cliff Adams and Stuart Green are both from Marlow itself, while Richard Voyce hails from Aylesbury and drummer, Barry Short comes from The Cotswolds.

The Peerless Pirates sound has been described as unique mix of energetic and up-tempo, with guitar-led songs and lyrics inspired by everyday life - though often tinged with splashes of history and a bit of naughtiness too!

Intrigued?  Then tune in to Marlow FM on the 20th February.  In the meantime you can find out more about the band on their Facebook page or via their website: www.peerlesspirates.com
