  • Work on Great Marlow School sports complex begins

    It's been a long time coming but work finally begins on Great Marlow School's new sports complex on Bobmore Lane next week. The new complex will replace the school's 50 year-old facilities and form part of a large plan that will include a new coach park and housing development.     Great Marlow School has achieved an impressive 18 per cent increase in the number of students getting five or more A* - C grades at GCSE.  Overall 76 per cent scored the top grades. Among the students who achieved four A*s were Asma Ali, Megan Thompson and Beth Sanders.  Luke Foster-Poole walked away with A* in geography and maths, along with seven other A grades.     Sir William Borlase Grammar School in Marlow is celebrating today, after a record year for the school for GCSE results. An impressive 100 per cent of students gained five A-C grades and overall 79 per cent walked away with A* - A grades.  Forty students gained straight A grades, with seven gaining 11 straight A* grades plus an AS level in Mathematics a year early.
